The Studio Series is our most streamlined journal, designed for those who value simplicity above all else. With a clean bifold design and no interior pockets, the focus remains where it belongs—on your notebooks, your ideas, and the craft itself.

Holding up to four inserts in the A5 and three in the A6, the Studio offers just the right amount of flexibility without unnecessary complexity. Crafted from premium vegetable-tanned leather, it develops a rich patina over time, making every journal uniquely its own.

If a Boivin journal ever fails due to a flaw in our craftsmanship — a seam that lets go, hardware that fails, a material defect — we'll repair or replace it, free, for as long as you own it.

Natural aging, patina, and everyday wear aren't defects; that's the leather doing exactly what it's supposed to.

Leather:
We use premium vegetable-tanned leather, slowly tanned with natural tree bark extracts. Rich in character and designed to age beautifully, every hide develops a unique patina through years of use.

Process:
Creating leather this way takes time. Each hide is carefully tanned, dyed, conditioned with natural oils and waxes, and finished over the course of several weeks. The result is a leather that's durable, supple, and built to last a lifetime.
